ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Last updated: January 2025

Our Commitment

Catch of the Day is committed to ensuring that our website and services are accessible to people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards to support equal access.

What Web Accessibility Means

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse with ease and enjoy the same level of access as other users. This may include support for screen readers, keyboard navigation, color contrast needs, and other assistive technologies.

Accessibility Adjustments on This Site

We have taken steps to make this website align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level wherever reasonably possible.

The adjustments we have implemented include:
• Setting clear page structure and content order
• Adding alternative text to images
• Ensuring consistent navigation and headings
• Improving color contrast where needed
• Reducing motion where possible
• Supporting screen reader compatibility
• Adding descriptive labels to forms and buttons
• Reviewing the site regularly for accessibility improvements

These efforts help ensure that videos, images, links, and forms are accessible to a wide range of users.

Declaration of Partial Compliance

Some content on this site may originate from third-party providers (for example: embedded maps, video players, or social media links). We do not control the accessibility of these external elements and therefore declare partial compliance for those components.

Physical Accessibility for Our Tours

Catch of the Day is a family-owned whale watching company operating from Hoonah Harbor. We strive to make our tours as accessible as possible; however, due to the nature of marine environments, our vessels are not fully wheelchair accessible. Boarding requires stepping onto the vessel from the dock with crew assistance.

We encourage guests with mobility limitations to contact us before booking so we can walk through the boarding process and help determine whether the tour is a good fit.

Requests, Issues, and Suggestions

We value your feedback as we continue improving accessibility.
